Some are fabric and some are leather.  There are straps and bows, jewels and buckles.

Dark blue, light blue, turquois blue.  Wedges and heels & flats.  Toeless, heeless AND toeless & heeless!

 One color?

 Multi-color?

ohhhhh, blue satin flats with jewels!!!

  Cork, wedge platforms???

And then there is total comfort.....ahhhhhh :-)

Love you all, Mom xxx ooo

Orchid Show February 2012

Your father and I spent Saturday in the greenhouses at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens.
It was wonderful!  Smelled like spring.
The orchid show was wonderful.  I've included a few of the many pictures I took.
These two guys are brothers.  Aren't they awesome!
Only one can be loose at a time.  As soon
as the caged one was brought in, the one in the tree
changed from being almost invisible in the tree to bright red.
It was pretty dramatic.

Sarah, here is a friend for Bud - did I get the name right?
This very lovely orchid is a slipper orchid.
Several years ago Gayle gave me my first orchid which
was like this one.
The orchids were mixed in with the beautiful flora and fauna of the
rainforest.
The orchids were not the only beautiful flowers in this beautiful setting.
These tiny little finches were very busy about the feeders.  They were brilliant...
and so tiny - much smaller than Hobbs.
I took so many pictures of these vines.
And here is my "orchid" among the orchids.

Snowy Day

but she was too fast for me.

I have had this air plant for several years and all of a sudden it has
put up a flower stalk! It apparently likes the kitchen window better
than the plant porch - or maybe it is the more frequent misting?
I thought this was a pretty cool composition. The snow was gone by mid afternoon.
Hope you are all well. I can hardly believe January is over. Sorry for the
skiers in our group, but happy for the gardners. Love you all.
Mom :-)

Happy Thanksgiving

The bird is in the oven....

The sweet potatoes are in the pot...

and the table is set for 11...Wish you ALL were here, but hope that where you are you know that we are thinking about you and so looking forward to our upcoming time together over the Christmas holiday.

Here are a few pictures from my recent adventure to New York with my friend Marilyn. We had such a good time. These are skaters in Central Park.

Occupy Wall Street

This is a monument to world peace. It was damaged in the 9-11 attach and has been moved to the new memorial grounds. My pictures of the memorial don't do it justice so I don't want to post them. It was pretty moving.
Coming in to LaGuardia.

Sunrise from the plane window somewhere over PA.

Went to visit Sarah and Keith in October and have a wonderful trip and beautiful weather. This is not Keith or Sarah, by the way, but a really cool cow that lives in a field by where their horse lives.
We always eat well in Ithaca - the restaurants are amazing.

Cowgirl Sarah and Cowboy Keith on their trusty steeds.
