A Bit More Christmas

Here are a few more pictures from Christmas.  I took LOTS more, but mostly they are

variations on the same shot, some fuzzy, some people with no heads, some lopsided...

You get the idea :-)

Dad got some cool stars made.

Artemis gets a little encouragement from Mom.  She didn't really need too much as

she got the hang of the gift "thing" pretty quickly.

I am so sad this is fuzzy, but it was too cute to leave out.  There was lots of dancing!

I don't know what Artemis and Adam are looking at, but whatever it is, it must

not be food as Jonas is not remotely interested.

Saturday after Christmas Denise made arrangements for the party room at Panera

There is never enough time to get all the visiting in and catch up on all the news,

 but it sure is fun trying.  And, no one had to cook or clean up for this one!

A BAKER'S DOZEN IN RANDOM ORDER

Goodness, it has taken a while to get this blog up!  I lost a couple days to

being under the weather and another couple waiting for a new power

cord to arrive.  And then there is the ongoing project of getting the

house back in order.  But, here is a first installment.

As the title says, no order.

Maggie:  Please can I go home with you?

Eleftheria:  Not in this lifetime!

T'was the night before Christmas and all through the house, 

not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...

So, I took 3 photos of Artemis and Papou and their crocs.  

I cut Papou's head off in all three (sorry honey)...

I wish everyone could have seen Artemis' reaction

to getting those shoes.  She knew instantly that

they were just like Papou's.  The child is obviously

brilliant!

Everyone was home for some part of the holiday.

 It was so much fun to have you all here.  I you look closely at Keith, you will see that

he is suppressing a smile - enjoying both being away from his own home and loving

the chaos of extended family life.

LeAnna, and Adam wistfully thinking that they would love

to stay longer, expecially since the weather was unseasonably warm.

LeAnna, as you can see, is especially sad to have missed today's

weather:  2:00pm - 28*, 9:30 - 6*.

Boy!  It has been so long since I posted that I had to figure this out again!!

Fortunately, my new phone seems to be much less "futzy" than my last

one and things like this are easier :-)

I as subbing 8th grade Algebra today, (no laughing), so I have plenty of

time to work on my little projects.  These kids are "dream" students...

smart, independent, funny, interesting, interested.  Oh that

all classes were like this.

The pictures are random shots from the past month.  It has been a crazy, beautiful

fall season.  Dry, but apparently not too dry.  We have stayed busy and

time seems to just fly by.  Periodically I remind myself to

relax a little and ENJOY...

This is the October full moon.  We were out walking with the dogs and got some

beautiful views.  From our yard we have to time it perfectly because of the trees.

We are trying to make good use of the trail by our house.  

on the other end of the tether is Maggie, patiently

waiting for Arlo to finish whatever it is he

is doing so they can get on with it.

There are more "red berry" shots down the way...I can't resist, but I thought this one with the

berries growing through the pine tree was really cool.

In spite of the dry summer, I think the fall season has been as colorful and as long

as it can be.  And, because of the unusual scarcity of rain there have been

plenty of blue skies.

The cut leaf maples both turned from burgundy to red, in 24 hours as

usual.  The leaves will all drop at once on the first freeze which is

supposed to be tomorrow night.  There is a front moving through

today with a gentle rain.  Temps should drop by 20 degrees by tomorrow.

It has been so warm that I have not planted my daffodils yet.

Moved this giant on to the plant porch.  So far, so good.. 

Everything is in.  It all looks so nice right now, but the long winter always takes its toll

Dad was able to get his painting finished plus a little more that his goal.

Here he is smiling for the picture, however I am not sure he enjoyed this project as much

as his smile might indicate, but he got a bunch of the hard stuff done and

the house really looks great.

We went to the Cleveland Flea for the first time and had a good time.  Not like the ones

on TV, but it was fun. 

I liked this idea, although I don't know where I would put it?????

Hope you were able to hear this...Dad and I stumbled across a summer concert August series at

Seiberling Naturealm.  We got to 2 concerts and they were both very good.  This guy makes and plays his own flutes.  Very Cool :-)
